The paths along the length of the Great Aycliffe Way are too narrow and overgrown, and are dangerously neglected in some parts. People are not able to pass each other safely in some areas, so the paths need to be widened and overgrown hedges cut back. Paths need to be repaired and filled in, with some fencing along the paths, especially along the Burn between Brockett Close/Mackenzie Place and the bridge by Woodham Burn school where the drop down into the Burn is high and children regularly run/cycle/scooter on their way to and from school. I have seen lots of children jump off of bikes/scooters because they have tipped over the edge and have been at risk of sliding down into the Burn.
