SaveLanarkRoad Protest
Location: , Slateford (Scotland, UK)
Edinburgh City Council is considering to remove some of the temporary infrastructure put in as part of the SpacesForPeople programme during the pandemic. In particular there seems to be a serious plan to remove the segregated cycle lane on Lanark Road which is a 4 lane urban motorway. Plenty of space for a segregated cycle lane, car parking and two lanes for motor traffic. Somehow the ambition of netzero by 2030 has to be reached. This won't happen without making it easier for people to choose active travel.
